Training compassionate health professionals since 1987
We combine classroom learning with clinical rounds at Tenwek Hospital, preparing nurses and clinical officers to serve as servant leaders, caring in Christ’s name.

Our story
What began as a nursing school inside a mission hospital has become a trusted name in training medical practitioners in Kenya.
We keep adapting our curriculum to the needs of the communities our graduates serve, pairing theory with hands-on clinical experience.

Tenwek School of Nursing opens
Founded to train nurses alongside the clinical work of Tenwek Hospital.
- 1999
First graduating class
Our first Registered Community Health Nurses graduate. A class has followed every year since.

Diplomas and higher diplomas
Classroom learning combined with clinical rounds. Two diploma programmes for school leavers:
Diploma in Nursing →Diploma in Clinical Medicine →
And three two-year higher diplomas for qualified practitioners:
- Critical Care Nursing
- Cardiac Perfusion
